Public Server Game 170
Game Date: 21.12.09-30.12.09
Usual suspects: Mark, ^Spike^, Csuke, Technica, Sparr, V453000, Petert, Osai, Phazorx (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL
Mapsize: 512x512 Temperate-Alpine
Version used: r18594 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: This game was all about wood. We had four wood drops along the map, one of them SRNW. The network got separated into two as the goods trains had their own and wood trains as well. In the late stages of the game, we had also trouble with cash, as the inflation went strange. SRNW with a subnetwork was tested as well as a "tightly packed" station exit.
Station exit compressing the trains together. For normal people: Just rails everywhere :P.

Public Server Game 169
Game Date: 11.12.09-21.12.09
Usual suspects: Mark, Chris Booth, KenjiE20, Pm, Petert, ^Spike^, Csuke, Zuu, V453000, Intexon, jondisti, Simonzzz, Yashkir, Technica, Sparr, puk, Hirundo (extend)
Gametype: Cargo (Experimental PZ-like Plan)
Trainlength: TL3
Mapsize: 512 x 512 Temperate
Version used: r18577 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: Quoting from Mark's plan itself, "Experimental pz-like plan", "Mainlines start off with LR, expand when needed".
A twist to the PSG screenshots, a picture of the !! BUILDER'S BOARD, with nice eye-candy.

Public Server Game 168
Game Date: 03.12.09-11.12.09
Usual suspects: Mark, Chris Booth, jondisti, Petert, Damalix, sepp, Techinica, Sietse, csuke, V453000, Kolo, sparr (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL3
Mapsize: 512 x 512 Arctic
Version used: r18400 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: A tightly confined network nestled in the valleys with a total of 10 BBHs and 11 SLHs
A medium-sized BBH (09) created by Sietse. Notice how the tracks conform to the land, and terraforming is used very minimally.

Public Server Game 167
Game Date: 25.11.09-03.12.09
Usual suspects: Gleeb, XeryusTC, SmatZ, Mark, Chris Booth, Petert, Sietse, FiCE, csuke, Sedontane, jondisti, ^Spike^ (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL4
Mapsize: 1024 x 512 Temperate
Version used: r18279 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: A massive game has to include massive hubs, and it did. Gleeb's plan won over Chris Booth's and the building started, the LLLL_RRRR two way roundabout hub was the major part of the game, but it caused some jamming problems later in the game. The major cargo of the game was oil. One "Major Oil Pick up" produced a million litres a month. The SL had to be expanded to LL RR to fit the need of the growing number of trains. The game ended with 1,000 trains.
The Wood/Ore drops, and the Steel/Goods pickup, created by Chris Booth using a unique station which can be entered from both sides.

Gametype: B2B
Trainlength: TL3
Mapsize: 256 x 512 Sub-Tropic
Version used: r18081 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: A return of the B2B (back-to-basics) gamestyle, with an unexpectedly good result.
The factory drop and pickup re-worked a total of 3 times

Public Server Game 165
Game Date: 31.10.09-17.11.09
Usual suspects: Chris Booth, tneo, Mark, Petert, ^Spike^, csuke, A3aan, XeryusTC, planetmaker, Damalix, kais58, sepp, Gleeb, Xaroth (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL5
Mapsize: 512 x 512 Temperate
Version used: r18081 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: A mountainous, free terraforming game, with one of the major goals to hit 1,000 trains, plan by tneo
BBH01 by Chris Booth. An epicentre for the massive train network built

Public Server Game 164
Game Date: 25.10.09-31.10.09
Usual suspects: Mark, Chris Booth, ZarenorDarkstalker, Thraxian, ^Spike^, pugi, DJNekkid, planetmaker, Nickman, XeryusTC, Damalix, Razaekel, Petert (extend)
Gametype: PAX (SBahn)
Trainlength: TL7
Mapsize: 1024 x 256 Temperate
Version used: r17847 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: A PAX game over a long stretch of map, connecting towns using the Japanese TrainSet.
Nice view of the small and large island/sbahn/boat transfer (by Damalix and Mark)

Public Server Game 163
Game Date: 20.10.09-25.10.09
Usual suspects: insulfrog, Chris Booth, Petert, ZarenorDarkstalker, Thraxian, atdt, Mark, jondisti, tneo, Gleeb, Spuuukie, pugi (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL3
Mapsize: 256 x 512 Temperate
Version used: r17847 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: An exciting mountainous game, led by insulfrog constructed over a period of 4-5 days made the map look covered head to toe, except for some small spaces containing no industries. The beauty of the plan was it's simplicity.
BBH 01 by Mark, what one could consider the structure of the entire network.

Public Server Game 162
Game Date: 11.10.09-20.10.09
Usual suspects: Chris Booth, Thraxian, ZarenorDarkstalker, Petert (extend)
Gametype: Cargo
Trainlength: TL3
Mapsize: 512 x 1024 Temperate
Version used: r17814 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: It all started with a two-way SML ML loop with main stations on the corners and a single BBH on each edge. Over 1650 trains later, most of the farms had closed - wood, coal, and oil became the chief exports. Later in the game, balancing the loads on the sidelines became the challenge, as some sidelines were sparse while others were over capacity. Shifting some stations from one mainline to another helped alleviate a lot of the congestion.
One of several high-output wood stations

Public Server Game 161
Game Date: 03.10.09-11.10.09
Usual suspects: Chris Booth, DCritic, AlexanderB, Petert, Tussengas, tneo, ^Spike^, Stoffe (extend)
Gametype: Cargo & RV
Trainlength: TL7
Mapsize: 128 x 2048 Temperate
Version used: r17687 #openttdcoop-GRF-Pack 7.3
Remarks: Originally intended to be an RV-only game, the 2048 dimension made several players rethink that strategy. Instead, local RV networks were connected by a backbone rail line. 2000 cars and 600 trains carried cargo as fast as they could - which wasn't very fast (iron trucks carried 19 tons each at 80km/h).
Don't drink and drive - you might get lost!
